The whole Lemony Snicket series is very interesting. While you're reading these great books you feel like you are experiencing the strange but sad things that are happening. In this book, you solve mysteries. The Series of Unfortunate Events is based on these three childeren Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire who go through terrible times and try to run away from a greedy man named Count Olaf who is trying to steal the Baudelaire's fortune. I just cant believe some of the awful events that happen to the Baudelaires in these books: the Baudelaires get chased by leaches, they have to go to a wretched school , and their friends get taken away by Count Olaf! I believe you will be fascinated by the many dramatic events too. If you are participating in the Accelerated Reader program, this book is level 6.4 and it is worth 4 points. |

This is the first chapter in a new begining for three young orphans whos parents have died and now they are bouncing around from family member to family member but they have never met any one of these so called members of there family members. So if you like mysteriious fires, crazy guardians, and three very smart orphans it just so happens that there is a sereis of books out there waiting for you to read them.......good luck! |

Good book for a beginner. Definitely recommend the rest of the series. Two kids lose their parents in a fire and are forced to live with an evil relative who wants their huge fortune. |
